9 days tour from Marrakech to desert
Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech
Upon arrival in Marrakech, you will be met by your guide and transferred to your hotel. You will have the rest of the day to explore the city on your own or relax and prepare for the trip ahead.
Day 2: Marrakech to Ait Ben Haddou
On the second day of the tour, you will leave Marrakech and drive to Ait Ben Haddou. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to some of Morocco’s most beautiful and well-preserved Kasbahs. You’ll explore the town and learn about the history of the area before checking into your hotel for the night.
Day 3: Ait Ben Haddou to Ouarzazate – Dades Gorges
On the third day, you will leave Ait Ben Haddou and travel to Ouarzazate. You will visit the Atlas film studio, where many famous films were shot, and the Kasbah of Taourirt. Then you will leave Ouarzazate and head towards the Dades Gorges. Along the way, you will pass through the oasis of Skoura and the stunning Dades Valley, known for its stunning rock formations and natural beauty. Dinner and night at the hotel in the Dades gorges.
Day 4: Desdes Gorges – Tinghir – Merzouga
In the morning we head to the Todra Gorge, a beautiful canyon which is a popular spot for rock climbers.
Next, you will drive to Merzouga, known for its stunning sand dunes and beautiful sunsets. Along the way, you will visit the spectacular and explore the oasis of Tafilalet, which is one of the largest oases in Morocco. Then we cross a desert landscape to reach the desert of Merzouga. You will ride a camel through the Erg Chebbi dunes to arrive at your desert camp. Enjoy the sunset over the high dunes, in the evening you have fun with Berber music around the campfire. Spend the night in Berber tents.
Day 5: Merzouga
You will take a 4×4 ride through the Erg Chebbi dunes to reach the village of Khamlia. You will have the opportunity to listen to Gnaoua music and taste a special Berber pizza, after which we will explore the nomadic zone, visit nomads in the desert and learn about nomadic life. We leave on camel back to reach our camp in the dunes of Erg Chebbi. Spend the night at camp. Observe the stars.
Day 6: Erg Chebbi to Ouarzazate
You will leave the desert and return to Ouarzazate. Along the way, you will visit the Draa Valley, known for its magnificent palm trees and beautiful landscapes. You will spend the night in a hotel in Ouarzazate.
Day 7: Ouarzazate to Marrakech
On the last day of the tour, you’ll return to Marrakech, where you’ll have the opportunity to do some last-minute shopping or explore the city on your own.
Day 8: Departure
You will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight.
