5 days Tour from Marrakech to Merzouga desert
Day 1: Marrakech to Ouarzazate
Start your day with a morning drive to Ouarzazate along the spectacular High Atlas Mountains. Make stops at the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, explore the countryside and admire the panoramic views of adobe houses against jagged stone cliffs. Continue through small mountain villages to Ouarzazate and spend the night in a hotel or riad.
Day 2: Ouarzazate to the Dades Gorges
Dedicate your second day of your trip to exploring the city and enjoying several of its few attractions, such as Atlas Studios and the Kasbah of Taourirt. In the late afternoon, continue your journey and drive to Dades Gorge. Enjoy the scenic views along the way as you cross sand dunes and high mountains. When you reach the spectacular red rocks of the Dades Gorge, take a walk along its gorge before settling in for the night in traditional accommodation near the gorge.
Day 3: Dades Gorges to Merzouga
Start your morning with a long 4×4 off-road adventure along one of Morocco’s most remarkable roads, the Todra palm grove and these gorges, before heading to Erfoud. Arriving in Merzouga you ride a camel to explore the landscape and the sand dunes of Merzouga. When you reach the camp, settle into your tent. And enjoy a beautiful night under the stars while listening to traditional Berber music around a campfire. The charm of sahara is to listen to the silence of the dunes while observing the starry sky.
Day 4: Merzouga to Zagora
On the fourth day of your trip, head out of Merzouga and stop at Rissani to explore its famous Berber-style markets before continuing to Zagora. it’s an exotic destination that rewards travelers with breathtaking views of its surrounding desert landscapes, mud-brick villages and rocky plateaus. Spend the night in authentic accommodation to experience traditional Berber hospitality.
Day 5: Zagora to Marrakech
Start your last day by exploring the Draa Valley. visit the Tamnougalt kasbah in Agdz then continue to Ouarzazate. Pass through several interesting villages. Upon arrival, enjoy a last glimpse of the desert landscape before crossing the High Atlas. We will drop you off at your accommodation.
