3 days Tour From Marrakech to Fes via desert
Day 1: Marrakech to Ait Ben Haddou and the Dades Gorges
Begin your journey from Marrakech and head to Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This fortified village is one of Morocco’s most famous sites and is a great place to explore. Spend some time exploring the village, admiring the stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Visit of the Atlas Studios and the Kasbah of Taourirt: The studios are known to have served as the setting for many famous mouvies.
The Kasbah of Taourirt is a fortress located in Ouarzazate. It was built in the 15th century and is considered one of the largest kasbahs in Morocco. The Kasbah has thick walls and includes several towers, ramparts and inner courtyards. The Kasbah is open to visitors who can explore its corridors and interior courtyards.
Continue your journey to the Dades Gorge, a stunning canyon with spectacular rock formations. Spend time exploring the area and admiring the views. You can also hike along the canyon and visit some of the local Berber villages.
End your day with a stay at a traditional Berber guesthouse in the Dades Valley. Have dinner at the guest house and get ready for another day of exploration.
Day 2: Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga
We will follow the tourist route from the Dades gorges to Merzouga, it is one of the most beautiful routes to travel in Morocco. It crosses the mountains and deserts of southern Morocco, offering a spectacular view of the varied landscapes and Berber villages. The route begins at the Gorges du Dadès, a spectacular natural site.
The road winds through the Atlas Mountains and passes through Berber villages such as Tinghir and Tinejdad. We will visit the Todra Gorges. Then we will cross Erfoud towards the Merzouga desert, a landscape of sand and dunes that stretches for miles. Our day ends in Merzouga, a village located on the border. On your arrival in Merzouga you go on a camel ride to explore the dunes of Erg Chebbi while admiring the sunset over the dunes. The desert camp will offer you a great opportunity to discover Berber music and enjoy a good dinner around the campfire.
Day 3: Merzouag – Rissani – Ziz Valley – Fes
After sunrise and a good breakfast, we head to Rissani, an important trading center in the Sahara Desert. Here you can visit the local souks and explore the old town. In the afternoon, drive to the Ziz Valley and enjoy its magnificent landscapes.
