3 Days Tour from Fes to Sahara Desert
Day 1: Fes – Middle Atlas – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert Camp
Depart Fes early in the morning towards Merzouga, a small town located in the Sahara desert. Along the way, stop at Ifrane, a town known for its alpine architecture and national park. Continue to Azrou to see the cedar forest and perhaps feed the monkeys that live there (feed the wild monkeys from afar, don’t get too close!). Cross the valley of Ziz to reach Erfoud, we will visit the fossils then our way continues towards the Merzouga desert. Arrival in Merzouga at the end of the afternoon. Camel ride in the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi to admire the sunset. Night in a traditional Berber camp in the desert. you enjoy the starry sky of the Sahara, and a gnaoua music show. it will be a beautiful unforgettable evening in the Erg chebbi dunes.
Day 2: Merzouga desert excursion
Wake up early to see the sunrise over the sand dunes. Return to Merzouga by camel after your breakfast. Visit the nomads to learn about their way of life. Special Berber lunch in Khamlia, have fun listening to Gnaoua music. At the end of the afternoon, 4×4 excursion in the desert to discover the surrounding landscapes. Return to camp by camel to spend the second night. You pave surf the dunes in Sandboard. Dinner around the campfire. overnight in nomadic tents. Seeing the stars floating in the desert sky is an event not to be missed.
Day 3: Merzouga – Midelt – Fes
Departure from Merzouga after breakfast towards Fes. Stop along the way in Rissani to visit its local market. Passage through Erfoud and the Ziz valley, lunch in Midelt. We will drop you off at your accommodation in Fez at the end of the day.
